About Us

Japan Cat Network is based in Inawashiro near Fukushima, Japan. Immediately following the earthquake of 2011 Japan Cat Network began to hep evacuees who had no choice but to leave their pets behind.

At the Inawashiro shelter international volunteers are taking care of pets from the the restricted areas and working to find them new families. 

We currently have 23 cats and 2 dogs awaiting homes and all funds raised from selling merchandise go towards feeding the animals, buying essentials like cat litter and essential bills like heating the shelter.
